Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy that uses hypnosis, an altered state of consciousness to break habits, change behaviours or assist in treating various long-term conditions.
Hypnotherapy was approved by The British Medical Association over 50 years ago and the therapy has conclusive, scientific research to back its effectiveness.
During hypnotherapy sessions clients are verbally guided through a process to induce a trance-like state that supports them to focus their mind, in turn clients respond more readily to suggestions and are most receptive to learning new ways, new possibilities and seeing from a different perspective, whilst they are so deeply relaxed.
As a hypnotherapist I know that many of us fall into a trance state in our everyday lives. Such as being deeply engrossed in a movie or book, daydreaming or even driving somewhere and having no memory of the journey when you arrive are all examples of the hypnotic, relaxed state also known as a trance state.
Many people have seen the stage or television hypnosis that encourages people to use their imagination and provide us with entertainment. This shouldn’t be confused with clinical hypnotherapy, in contrast, clinical hypnotherapy is focussed on a long-term behavioural change- whether that is helping a client achieve weight loss or quitting smoking for good.
Prior to any treatments I offer an in-depth consultation, this gives me an understanding of my clients current health and state of mind, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan tailored to provide a therapy that meets the client’s needs.
During the hypnotherapy sessions you are guided to make positive changes to behaviours, emotions or thoughts according to agreed goals set in the consultation. It is compassionate, amazingly relaxing and a superb way to create a peaceful mind. Whether it is Hypnotherapy for lack of confidence, insomnia, fear of flying or other fears or phobias, IBS, weight loss, to stop smoking, driving test nerves and so much more.
I work 1-2-1helping to break undesirable behavioural cycles that have negative impacts in the well-being of clients. Replacing unwanted thoughts with more productive and positive ones therefore helping you regain control.
The tailored 1-2-1 sessions are either in person or via video call from the comfort of your own home. Either option has positive effects to allow clients to regain control of their own well-being.
I have now furthered my knowledge and completed additional training, thus enabling me to offer the vitual Gastric band hypnosis. The gastric band is four indepth hypnotherapy sessions. We look at all the emotional blocks before fitting the band on the third session.
I also offer virtual hypnotherapy which is as effective as in person sessions.
I also offer combined sessions of Hypnotherapy and Reiki for optimal relief from stress, anxiety and to aid pain management.

Hi Lisa! Hope you’re good! Just wanted to update you since we met for the session....
I have not had a chewing gum or lozenge since before the session. It's not that I haven't wanted one, but I don't want one and that wins.
I did use a patch for a few days I didn't want to but especially being in the office it did win and was my compromise. I only had 3 patches left so it couldn't so by the Tuesday after the session I had no resources left. That in itself was a success as I haven't been without resources for ever!
So I am now not consuming anything other than sugar free sweets or sugar free mints when I feel I need something.
In my head I hear starve the devil! Is that a suggestion or have I made it up? But it works! Cos when I want nicotine (and I do) I think do not feed it keep the day count as good as it is now, starve the devil haha.
So thank you so much for your help in winning the little battle. The best way i can describe it is as I said, I want nicotine, but I don't want nicotine more and that’s the difference now; I will not give in to it. X
